Sarah Bixby Smith, founder of Scripps College, happened to own a parcel of land on Twelfth Street with a. The GTSL is updated annually and as policies, procedures, and personnel change througho ut the year. No neighborhood or numerical limits are set. Wordsmiths of the Claremont Colleges is the 5C community for student creative writers, in which any student wordsmith may connect with others of our species, and/or get involved in numerous creative writing publications and clubs. Is a Scripps College club that strives to bring local artists with a non-normative sound who are typically underrepresented in the music industry to perform on. Scripps College Guide to Student Life (GTSL) is a primary resource for students to understand their rights, responsibilities, and opportunities while attending Scripps. 5C Writers’ Collective meets every week to write, discuss current projects, and share ideas for future projects. We welcome writers and aspiring writers of all experiences and genres. We also collaborate with other organizations on campus to host open mic nights, poetry slams, and workshops led by local authors. ![]() We aim to provide an intimate and safe space for creative expression of all levels as well as feedback and critique without the pressures of meeting deadlines or publication. Scripps College, a women’s college in Claremont, CA, sits in the shadow of Mt San Antonio in southern California (just 30 miles east of L.A.). Our normal operating hours are M-F: 6am - 11pm, Sat: 10am - 8pm, Sun: 12pm - 11pm. Before using the facility, all guests must sign the liability waiver. 5C Writers’ Collective seeks to bring individuals interested in creative writing of any form together into a network group where each person can find honest feedback and, hopefully, inspiration for their current projects. Roberts Pavilion is open for us by all CMC, HMC, and Scripps students, faculty, and staff.
